JOB DESCRIPTION
An experienced CNC Steel Bending Operator is required to join a busy precast concrete manufacturing facility in Preston.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC steel bending machinery to manufacture reinforcement cages and steel components used in the production of precast concrete products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Operate CNC steel bending and cutting machinery
* Read and interpret production drawings and bending schedules
* Manufacture reinforcement steel components to specification
* Carry out machine setup and adjustments
* Perform routine quality checks on finished products
* Ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently
* Maintain a clean and organised work area
* Report equipment faults and maintenance requirements
* Follow all health and safety procedures
* Assist with general production duties as required
REQUIREMENTS
* Previous experience operating CNC steel bending machinery
* Experience working within a precast concrete, steel fabrication or manufacturing environment
* Ability to read technical drawings and bending schedules
* Good attention to detail and quality standards
* Understanding of reinforcement steel production processes
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to workplace health and safety
