If so, come and join us as an Events Production Manager.

We’re looking for someone who is confident at leading the strategy, planning and delivery of events within Digital and Transformation Group (DTG) in DWP.

As Events Production Manager for DTG, you’ll be part of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), the UK’s biggest public service department that is responsible for welfare, pensions and child maintenance policy for more than 22 million customers.

With more than 8000 colleagues, DTG is central to transforming DWPs digital services to ensure customers can access services easily, how and when they want to.

Our events are a vital channel to help translate technical and complex messages into relevant and understandable content that resonates with audiences.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, with excellent communication and engagement skills and who can manage and influence others to deliver high quality events that meet business needs, are user focused and have measurable impact.

As an Events Production Manager. you will:

  • Play a crucial role in engaging with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders, through an events strategy.
  • Deliver all DTG colleague events including all colleague calls to more than 8000 people, line manager events, and senior leader calls and events.
  • Manage a programme of speaking opportunities and awards to help tell the story of DTG to a wide range of internal and external audiences and to build and maintain the excellent reputation of DTG and its senior leaders.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of event production including scheduling, venue selection, supplier selections, content development, event production and delivery evaluation and impact.
  • Work collaboratively, building solid partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders across and beyond the organisation.
  • Utilise digital communications platforms such as SharePoint and Teams as well as creative resources available to you to engage with stakeholders.
  • Apply strong campaign management principles and quality control using the Government Communications Service OASIS model to ensure communications are creative, insight driven and properly evaluated.
  • Develop clear narrative from complex issues and work with presenters and keynote speakers to ensure they are confident in delivering their message to a wide range of people.
  • Using analytical tools and techniques, along with research, to evaluate the effectiveness of events and channels and making recommendations.
