Hours: Full-time (shift rotation)
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Temporary School Caretaker to join our site team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support the smooth running of a school environment during a busy period.
This role operates on a rotating shift pattern:
- 6:00am - 2:00pm (2 weeks)
- 11:00am - 7:00pm (2 weeks)
There may be some flexibility with hours for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and securing school buildings and grounds
- Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs
- Ensuring the school site is clean, safe, and well-presented
- Supporting health & safety checks and compliance
- Assisting with deliveries and setting up rooms for school activities/events
- Liaising with contractors where required
Requirements
- Previous caretaker, maintenance, or facilities experience is desirable
- A proactive, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential
