Summary
Are you passionate about delivering excellent patient care and creating a positive first impression? Minster Ward at Newark Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and motivated Ward Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team.
In this important role, you will be the welcoming face of the ward, providing professional and compassionate support to patients, visitors, and staff. Working closely with the Ward Leader, nursing team, and wider multidisciplinary professionals, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the ward while contributing to an outstanding patient experience.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, a caring and approachable manner, and a commitment to high standards of service within a busy clinical environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and is keen to develop both personally and professionally within the NHS.
At Newark Hospital, you’ll become part of a compassionate healthcare community where your contribution truly matters and where every day brings the opportunity to make a positive difference to patients and their families.

We are an award-winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.
We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be treated. At the same time, we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically-led organisation.
We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as ‘outstanding’ for care and our King’s Mill Hospital as the only ‘outstanding’ NHS-run hospital in the East Midlands.
