Summary
Job Title: Personal Assistant
Location: Aberaeron
Hours: 12.25 hours per week (1.75 hours per day split over 3 calls) Hours to be shared between PA’s
Rate of Pay: £14.25
I am looking to recruit a small team of reliable and compassionate Personal Assistants to support me in my home. This role involves providing day-to-day assistance with personal care, routine prompting, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Monitoring hygiene due to reduced awareness of cleanliness
• Prompting and encouraging personal hygiene, including washing and showering
• Supporting catheter area hygiene (catheter changes are managed by District Nurses)
• Prompting to get dressed and ensuring clothing is appropriate for the day/weather
• Reminding and supporting with changing clothes, underwear, and socks
• Providing reminders to eat regular meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
• Assisting with meal preparation and providing supervision in the kitchen
• Supporting safe use of kitchen appliances due to reduced vision
• Prompting to take morning medication
• Helping maintain daily routines through repetition and encouragement
• Supporting with general household tasks that I am no longer able to manage independently

If requested by the employer, two satisfactory references must be provided. This post is subject to a trial period of 1 month and a probationary period of up to 6 months.
Wages will be paid in arrears on a 4 weekly basis once a valid National Insurance (NI) number has been provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement.
You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement as well as all other statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in your contract of employment. You will also be issued with a Personal Assistants Handbook when your employment commences.
You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post. The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct payment. Failure to attend mandatory training may result in your employment offer being withdrawn.
