Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
Good honours degree or equivalent and qualified teacher status (QTS)
Ability to teach throughout the age range up to and including A level
Ability to teach English (preferable, not essential)
Experience of planning, delivering and evaluating successful lessons
Personal commitment to professional development
Ability to work co-operatively with others
Ability to use IT for at least one (and preferably both) of teaching and administrative work
Potential to contribute towards the school’s extra-curricular programme (preferable, not essential)
Understanding of and support for the school’s Christian ethos

An excellent opportunity has arisen to work in our successful Performing Arts department. If you want to work in a school that values what Performing Arts has to offer students, as well as looking after their staff, come and look at Davenant. This position is a part time post. We require someone who is enthusiastic, with a strong subject knowledge and who enjoys working in a strong team environment. We would expect the successful candidate to be able to teach at all key stages.
Excellent opportunities for personal development exist as part of our CPD and training programme as well as mentoring within our ITT consortium.Davenant achieves outstanding examination results but has a strong focus on co-curricular provision and seeks to “nurture mind, body and spirit”. Staff enjoy the many opportunities this approach to education offers.
We are situated close to the M25 and the central line in the beautiful setting of Epping Forest. We can easily be reached either from London or from the Essex/Hertfordshire borders.
