Summary
Bandsaw Operative
Location: Wirksworth
Contract: Permanent
Pay: £14.11 per hour
We are recruiting for an experienced Bandsaw Operative to join a manufacturing team in Wirksworth. This is a permanent role working within a busy production environment, preparing and cutting materials for CNC processing.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm
Key Duties:
• Operate band knife machinery to cut materials to specification
• Prepare materials for CNC processing
• Work accurately from drawings and measurements
• Maximise yield and reduce waste
• Maintain machine cleanliness and follow Health & Safety procedures
• Support other production areas when required
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with bandknife/cutting machinery
• Good measuring and mathematical skills
• Ability to read drawings and work in 3D
• Production/manufacturing experience
• Reliable, flexible, and detail-focused
