About the Role:
The Healthcare Support Worker / Clinical Assistant (HCSW/CA) role involves supporting registered and non-registered healthcare professionals to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care. Your role will include assisting patients with activities of daily living such as washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, and performing basic clinical observations (e.g. blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations) when required. Your role will include supporting patient mobility and the manual handling of patients using appropriate equipment such as hoists, slide sheets, and walking aids, assisting with clinical procedures under supervision, and monitoring patients’ conditions, reporting any concerns to qualified staff. Your role will include providing emotional support, maintaining dignity, privacy, and respect, and promoting equality, person-centred care, and a clean, safe environment. Your role will include maintaining accurate records and handling information in line with confidentiality, data protection, and safeguarding responsibilities, including recognising and reporting risks. Your role will include following infection prevention and control procedures, using PPE appropriately, maintaining equipment cleanliness, and reporting hazards or incidents. Your role will include working effectively within a multidisciplinary team, participating in handovers, and contributing to high standards of care with professionalism and ongoing development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support with the resident’s activities of daily living
• Review and contribute to individual care plans
• Report with senior healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care
• Accurately document observations, updates, and progress
• Maintain high standards safeguarding
What We're Looking For:
• NVQ Level 2 or any relevant qualifications to the role
• Minimum of 6 months UK based care experience (within the last 3 years)
• Right to work in the UK (we are unable to offer sponsorship)
• Candidates willing to undergo thorough DBS and Reference checks
• Ability to follow clear Instructions, Policies and Procedures of each Home
• Strong communication, organisation, and team skills
• Compassion, Commitment, patience, and a practical mindset
• A commitment to upholding dignity, choice, and respect
