Summary
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well established and growing business based in County Durham, who are looking to appoint a reliable and detail focused Accounts Assistant to support their finance function.
This is a varied and hands on role that will involve supporting across all aspects of accounts, making it well suited to someone who enjoys a broad position within a small to medium sized business.
Key responsibilities
Processing and checking purchase and sales invoices
Ensuring all financial information is accurately recorded and kept up to date
Assisting with reconciliations and general accounts duties
Supporting end of year processes and preparation for Accountant
Ensuring all incoming invoices are received, logged and input correctly
Providing support with credit control activities as required
Liaising with colleagues to ensure financial records are accurate and complete
The ideal candidate
Previous experience in a similar accounts position
Experience using Sage is essential
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Confident using Excel and accounting systems
A proactive and flexible approach
21 hours per week over 3 days
Salary dependent on experience
