Debt Solutions are delivering strategic, greenfield programmes to build modern, cloud-first Debt Management and Compensation Recovery systems to recover approximately £3 billion per annum while protecting the most vulnerable in our society. Our full-stack digital products include user-interfaces, APIs and integration platforms, using Azure Cloud, Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Azure Service Bus, Postgres, MongoDB and node.js (user-interfaces).

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be a skilled Practitioner and a role model in software craftsmanship. Responsible for ensuring best practices are adhered to across the department and guiding teams on how to deliver quality software products. You will assist in the design of software products that make up citizen services in collaboration with Architecture and Engineering principles. With a focus on operational stability, robustness, resilience, availability and quality you will be accountable for the code you and your teams produce.
As a Senior Software Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Application modernisation - rewriting applications and code following engineering standards and best practices.
- Ensuring service continuity through effective incident and problem management.
- Contributing to the migration and integration of systems into Azure cloud platforms.
- Supporting and enhancing applications that support our corporate colleagues and citizens.
Please note: As part of the role, you may be required to travel regularly to the other digital hubs. The frequency of this will be discussed further should you be successful.
