Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

The ideal candidate will be a skilful and enthusiastic practitioner with experience of teaching KS2. They will be aspirational for the children, and committed to creating a stimulating environment and delivering high-quality teaching, which enables every child to succeed.

They will be expected to be able to plan and deliver well-structured sequences of learning, provide support for pupils with SEND, work effectively as part of our staff team, and have good communication skills, working collaboratively with staff and building strong relationships with parents and families.

All teachers in our school are expected to be subject leaders and we have shared responsibility across both Markington and Birstwith Schools – we are open to discussion about your subject strengths.

We are looking for someone who is committed to providing children with a high-quality education – both academically and pastorally, in our growing school. They will be passionate about giving all children the very best possible start to their education. They will be willing to invest in continued professional development and be keen to work in a school where there are good working relationships and professionalism; where aspirations are high; and everyone is treated with respect, enabling them to achieve their best. Our school has a shared Headteacher with Birstwith School.
