Summary

Mobile Building Fabric Technician

Contract: Professional Services, Production & Technology

Location: Cardiff / Bristol - with regional travel

Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum + company van (diesel/hybrid)

Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, 08:00-17:00, with overtime available

On-Call: 1 in 5 week rota (£150 allowance)

Location: Bristol/Cardiff, with travel across South Wales, the South West and Cornwall

We are seeking a skilled Building Fabric Technician to support a regional facilities management contract across South Wales, the South West and Cornwall.

Job Description

The successful candidate will carry out planned and reactive building maintenance across a portfolio of commercial properties, delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs.

General building fabric maintenance including doors, locks/hinges, flooring, and internal fixtures.

Floor repairs including fitting and replacing tiles and other surface materials.

Minor plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing taps, and basic pipework maintenance.

Carrying out basic painting, patch repairs, and general upkeep of internal and external areas.

Accurately completing job sheets, compliance documentation, and CAFM system updates.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Proven experience in a fabric or multi-skilled maintenance role.

Background in facilities management or mobile maintenance environments.

Experience carrying out reactive and planned maintenance (PPM).

Comfortable working across multiple sites and travelling long distances (up to 100 miles/day).

Good understanding of completing maintenance paperwork and job reporting systems.

Full UK Driver’s License (maximum 6 points, no drink driving offences).
