You will possess strong practical and organisational skills, alongside the ability to support engaging and effective practical learning experiences across Design and Technology.The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning by preparing materials, maintaining specialist equipment and resources, and ensuring practical learning spaces are safe, organised, and fully operational for learners and staff.Working across Design and Technology areas, the post holder will contribute to maintaining high standards of health and safety, organisation, and technical support, helping to create an inspiring and effective learning environment.The role will involve supporting the preparation and maintenance of specialist equipment, including workshop machinery, tools, and CAD/CAM equipment where appropriate, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and safe workshop practices.The right candidate will have:Good literacy and numeracy skillsExperience of working with tools, equipment, or practical resourcesA good understanding of health and safety requirements within a practical environmentThe ability to organise and prioritise workload effectivelyEffective communication and interpersonal skillsA proactive and flexible approach to supporting staff and learnersCommitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and maintaining a safe and secure environmentRelevant qualifications or experience in Design and Technology, engineering, maintenance, or a related area would be advantageousWhy choose us?At Connah’s Quay High School, you’ll be working within a welcoming and supportive team, with the ability to make a real difference to learners’ experiences.
