Are you a proactive and supportive individual ready to make a real difference in the classroom? We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 2 to work alongside our teachers, helping to create an inspiring learning environment where every student feels valued and supported to achieve their best.

About WPT

At Wickersley Partnership Trust (WPT), we are fueled by a single commitment: 'We never do less for other people’s children than we would for our own.' As a thriving network of schools across South Yorkshire, we combine high expectations with an embedded commitment to inclusivity. We do not work in silos; instead, we rely on deep collaboration and school-to-school support to ensure every student develops socially, emotionally, and academically to achieve the highest standards.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will be a vital part of the classroom team. Your role is to support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons, ensuring that resources are ready and the environment is safe and organised. You will work directly with students—sometimes with the whole class, but often in small groups or one-to-one-to help them understand learning activities and reach their goals. From marking routine tests to supporting students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), this is a varied role that blends academic support with pastoral care.

Responsibilities

Learning Support: Deliver structured teaching programmes and assist the class teacher with learning activities, supporting individuals and small groups to achieve their goals.

Monitoring & Assessment: Monitor and report on pupil progress and achievement, providing detailed feedback to the teacher and assisting with routine marking and record-keeping.

Environment & Admin: Maintain an organised learning environment by managing resources, conducting clerical duties such as display work, and ensuring Health and Safety compliance.

Pastoral & Behaviour: Support classroom management by promoting good behaviour and providing pastoral care, including the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for students with specific needs.

The successful candidate must hold an NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent qualification or experience).
