About the role
Source Supply is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed, and highly motivated Year 1/2 Class Teacher to join our dedicated and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning within Key Stage 1 and who is committed to ensuring every child achieves their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and will be able to plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons that inspire and challenge pupils of all abilities. They will create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning. A commitment to maintaining high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and personal development is essential.
We are looking for a teacher who possesses excellent classroom management skills, is reflective in their practice, and is able to effectively assess and monitor pupil progress to ensure strong outcomes for all learners. The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues is vital, alongside a willingness to contribute fully to the wider life and ethos of the school.
Requirements
Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and training. All successful applicants will:
- Hold qualified teacher status (QTS).
- Have referenceable experience working in a school setting.
- Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.
- Be comfortable delivering their own and pre-set lesson plans to range of children, dependant on the requirements of the school.
- Be an excellent communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to vehicle.
