Summary
About the Role
Peterhead is one of Scotland's most active working ports — home to a substantial fishing fleet, offshore supply operations, and a growing marine energy sector serving North Sea installations. We are currently looking for a Port Logistics Assistant to join a busy shore-based and offshore support team operating out of this area.
This is a hands-on, practical role suited to someone who is organised, reliable, and comfortable in a fast-moving port environment. No prior offshore experience is necessary — what matters most is a solid work ethic and the ability to follow procedures under pressure.
What's on Offer
- Salary: Approx. £4,800 – £6,200 per month, inclusive of offshore allowances and performance bonuses
- Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off — a fixed schedule that gives you genuine time at home
- Accommodation: Full onboard accommodation provided throughout your offshore rotation
- Meals: All meals covered while offshore — no out-of-pocket costs
- Travel: Logistics coordinated from your local departure point to the installation
- Training: Full role-specific training provided from day one
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the receipt, sorting, and dispatch of equipment and materials
Assisting with inventory checks and basic stock management
Coordinating with vessel crews during load-out and offload operations
Maintaining accurate records for incoming and outgoing supplies
Following port safety procedures and contributing to a tidy, organised workspace
Who We're Looking For
You don't need an offshore CV to apply. If you've worked in a warehouse, on a construction site, in transport, or anywhere that's required you to stay organised and work as part of a team — we want to hear from you.
Physically capable and ready for active, outdoor work
Dependable and punctual — offshore schedules don't have much flexibility
Comfortable being away from home for 14-day stretches
Willing to learn and take on responsibility as you develop in the role
Safety & Certification Requirements
Offshore work carries real responsibilities, and all candidates are required to meet baseline safety standards before placement.
OSR-1 Validation: As the first step in our selection process, all applicants must complete the OSR-1 (Offshore Safety Readiness) assessment. This is an online validation that confirms you meet the safety awareness requirements for offshore environments.
BOSIET Certification: Candidates who progress through the process will receive full sponsorship for their BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training), including all practical safety elements. This is arranged and funded by the company.
How to Apply
Apply via our official recruitment portal. Make sure your application is submitted through the correct channel to avoid delays in processing.
