Machine Operative

Location: Fishponds, Bristol (BS16)

Hours: Rotating shifts (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm), Monday-Friday

Pay: £13.35 per hour (paid weekly)

Contract: Full‑time, Temp to Perm

About the Role

We're working with a well‑established adhesive solutions manufacturer in Fishponds who are looking for a reliable and experienced Machine Operative to join their production team. This is a hands‑on role offering variety, stability, and long‑term progression within a supportive and growing business.

Key Responsibilities

As a Machine Operative, you will:

  • Check materials and machine settings before each production run
  • Feed materials into machinery and monitor production processes
  • Maintain high quality standards on WIP and finished rolls
  • Operate rewinder machines to provide break, holiday, and sickness cover
  • Clean machinery and prepare materials for upcoming production jobs
  • Safely load and unload vehicles
  • Follow all site Health & Safety procedures
  • Support general warehouse, production, and ad‑hoc duties as required

Requirements

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or production environments
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good communication skills and a positive team attitude
  • Reliable, punctual, and proactive approach to work
  • Counterbalance FLT licence (advantage but not essential)
