Summary

Detailed job description and main responsibilities The post holder will be a HCPCregistered Practitioner Psychologist working within the Paediatric Haemoglobin Disorders Psychology Service and the wider Clinical Health Psychology Service. They will provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for children and young people with haemoglobin disorders, working closely with families, carers and the multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering evidencebased interventions across inpatient and outpatient settings, including individual work, parent work, group interventions and transitionrelated support. The post holder will contribute to multidisciplinary care, consultation and liaison with health, social care, education and thirdsector professionals, supporting holistic and culturally responsive care. They will receive regular clinical and professional supervision, participate in CPD, and contribute to audit, outcome monitoring and service development. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical records, contributing to safeguarding and risk management, and working in line with Trust policies and professional standards. Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex. Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff). High Cost Area Supplement – Outer London (B&D, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest, CEME) This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,870to a maximum of £6,137 p.a. pro rata for part time).
