About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Online Retail Administrator to support and grow our online retail business. This is a full-time, office-based position in Wakefield, ideal for someone with strong e-commerce experience and a passion for online retail, digital marketing, and brand growth.
The successful candidate must have hands-on experience with Shopify and online marketplaces, along with a strong understanding of product listings, SEO, and social media marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Managing and maintaining the Shopify website
Creating and uploading new product listings across Shopify and online marketplaces
Writing engaging product descriptions and optimising listings for SEO
Updating product images, pricing, stock levels, and product information
Supporting website theme design, layout updates, and general website improvements
Making adjustments to Shopify themes and website appearance
Managing and monitoring online marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Wayfair, or similar platforms
Planning and running social media campaigns across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest
Creating marketing content and promotional campaigns to increase online sales
Monitoring website performance, analytics, and customer engagement
Assisting with email marketing campaigns and online promotions
Coordinating online orders, customer enquiries, and general e-commerce administration
Supporting SEO strategies to improve website traffic and online visibility
Keeping up to date with e-commerce trends and suggesting improvements
Requirements
Proven experience working with Shopify is essential
Experience with online marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy, or similar platforms
Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, and social media management
Experience updating website themes and making design adjustments within Shopify
Strong IT and computer skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Creative mindset with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools is advantageous
