This Law Teacher role offers a full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing opportunity from September 2026 within a supportive secondary school setting. The Law Teacher will deliver high-quality A Level Law teaching, supporting students to develop strong analytical skills, legal understanding, and exam confidence. This role is ideal for an experienced A Level Law Teacher seeking consistency and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on post-16 learners.
Duties as Law Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured A Level Law lessons
- Teach in line with examination board specifications and curriculum requirements
- Prepare students effectively for A Level assessments and examinations
- Use assessment and feedback to monitor progress and support attainment
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment
- Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and independent learning
- Support students’ academic progress and post-18 pathways
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and wider staff team
- Contribute to curriculum development and shared resources
- Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Ideal Law Teacher:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Proven experience teaching A Level Law (essential)
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of A Level specifications
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to engage, challenge, and motivate post-16 students
- Organised, reflective, and committed to high-quality teaching
- Willingness to commit to a long-term temporary and ongoing role
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
