RECRUITMENT OF CLERK
Salary
(SCP 18 to 23 - £16.35 to £17.85 per hour)
Part-time (15 hours per week)
Due to the currents clerk’s wish to retire, the Parish Council is seeking an organised and committed person to undertake this key role, which is the Clerk/ Proper Officer of the council. They are responsible for the day-to-day organisation and management of the Council’s services. You will need to be enthusiastic, flexible and community-focused with excellent administrative, inter-personal, accounting and IT skills to work with Councillors, the community, and external organisations.

You will ensure that all legal, statutory, financial and other governing provisions relating to the Council are observed, all Council meetings are properly administered, and decisions effectively implemented whilst developing healthy working partnerships with key local and regional bodies.

The Council would consider appointing an applicant with the necessary skills who did not have the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) qualification but was prepared to work towards it. The ideal candidate would be suitably qualified holding the CiLCA qualification.
