Summary

Birmingham Newman University enjoys a strong and established reputation in Sport, Sport Science, and Sport Coaching, and is now seeking to expand its provision in Sport and Exercise Therapy. We are seeking a graduate sports therapist, who is a member of the Society of Sports Therapists, to teach on BSc Sport and Exercise Therapy. The candidate will work closely with the programme leader and will playing a leading role in the development and management of a Sports massage clinic and an injury clinic.

The post holder will design, plan and deliver a range of learning activities utilising a range of teaching methods, prepare and mark assessments, improve teaching by self-reflection and student feedback, and engage with wider university business. They will lead Sport and Exercise Therapy modules, supervise undergraduate students and provide clinical support where necessary. The postholder will act as a personal tutor and play an active role in the wider School and the University as a whole.
