Summary
Key Responsibilities:
* Support & Adaptation: Work alongside the class teacher to support the planning and delivery of engaging activities that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN.
* Classroom Support: Help maintain a positive, structured learning environment by using effective behaviour management strategies and providing consistent, calm support.
* Individualised Assistance: Provide 1:1 or small-group support to help pupils access learning, develop skills, and build confidence.
* Monitoring & Feedback: Observe student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and SENCo to help inform next steps and tailored interventions.
* Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, support staff, and school leadership to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
* Parent Communication: Assist with sharing updates around pupil progress and wellbeing when required, helping to maintain strong home-school relationships.
* Professional Development: Engage in relevant CPD, attend staff meetings when needed, and take part in training to further develop your SEN support skills.
* Safeguarding: Uphold and promote the school's safeguarding policies, ensuring a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for all pupils.
