Summary

Our client, a leading education provider in Leeds, West Yorkshire, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Support Worker to join their dynamic team. In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to students with diverse behavioural and emotional needs, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will be a key member of our client's team, working collaboratively with teachers, counsellors, and other professionals to develop and implement tailored behaviour intervention plans. Your primary focus will be to assist students in developing self-regulation skills, managing their emotions, and fostering positive social interactions. By utilising evidence-based strategies and a compassionate approach, you will empower students to overcome their challenges and achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate for this position will possess a deep understanding of child and adolescent development, as well as expertise in behaviour management techniques. You will have a proven track record of working effectively with students who exhibit challenging behaviours, and you will be skilled in de-escalating tense situations and promoting a calm and nurturing learning environment.

In this role, you will be expected to work closely with our client's teaching staff, providing guidance and support to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour management across the school. You will also be responsible for maintaining detailed records, communicating regularly with parents and carers, and collaborating with external agencies as needed.

The salary for this full-time Behaviour Support Worker position ranges from £90 to £110 per day, depending on your qualifications and experience. - A minimum of 2 years' experience working with children or young people in a Behaviour Support or similar role
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, social work, or a related field

- Proficiency in implementing evidence-based behaviour management strategies and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students
- A genuine passion for supporting the personal and academic growth of young people
