Summary
Our client, a well-established leader in the logistics sector, is recruiting for a Line Leader on a Temporary to Permanent basis at their Minworth depot. This is an afternoon shift role working Monday to Friday, 13:45pm – 22:15pm.
Role Overview
As Line Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing production lines and leading a team to ensure output, quality, hygiene, and safety standards are consistently achieved. You will play a key role in driving performance, maintaining compliance, and supporting continuous improvement across the operation.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
Lead and motivate a team to achieve daily and hourly production targets
Manage labour and production lines to meet planned volumes and commercial requirements
Ensure products meet client specifications and quality standards
Monitor efficiency, minimise downtime, and reduce waste
Maintain compliance with health & safety, GMP, and hygiene standards at all times
Ensure all areas meet internal and external audit requirements
Accurately complete all paperwork and update integrated systems
Identify, report, and support resolution of health & safety issues
Support training and development of new starters and agency staff
Liaise with agency controllers and provide ongoing performance feedback
Conduct return-to-work and disciplinary meetings where required
Attend team leader meetings and contribute to operational reviews
Actively support continuous improvement initiatives
Act as a role model for best practice across the site
Participate in appraisals and take ownership of personal development
Carry out any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role
What We’re Looking For
Experience in a supervisory or team leader role within production, logistics, or warehousing
Strong understanding of production targets, labour control, and efficiency measures
Knowledge of GMP, hygiene standards, and health & safety compliance
Confident using systems and maintaining accurate records
Strong communication and leadership skills
A proactive approach with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
