Summary
The post consists of sessions at the Northern Care Alliance.
The post is suitable for a practitioner who has completed a minimum of five years post-qualification and relevant experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
The possession of the MFDS, RCS or FDS, RCS is essential full registration with the General Dental Council is essential.
There is no on-call commitment.
The main clinical duties of this post will involve outpatient care of patients at the Salford Royal Hospital site. The duties will involve consultation clinics and operating on patients under local anaesthesia and sedation. It would be anticipated that the post holder would have a sub-specialty interest in dentoalveolar surgery. Previous experience or training in the use of conscious sedation techniques for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is essential. The post holder would be expected to give advice and assistance to members of the junior dental staff in training, as the need arises.
The Trust is keen that the post holder continues training and development whilst in post and there would be options for clinical responsibilities to evolve over time.
