    The Role

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a highly respected and progressive small animal practice near Newmarket.

    This role offers the chance to work within a supportive and experienced clinical team where RVNs are encouraged to play an active role in patient care planning, case management and preventative healthcare. Full-time and part-time applications are welcomed, making this an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking flexibility.

    You’ll enjoy a varied role encompassing consultations, theatre, inpatient care and nurse-led clinics, with access to advanced facilities and strong support for professional development.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver high standards of nursing care across all areas of the practice
    • Assist veterinary surgeons during consultations, diagnostics and surgery
    • Prepare patients for procedures and monitor anaesthesia
    • Provide post-operative and inpatient nursing care
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records
    • Run nurse-led clinics including:
      • Weight management
      • Wound checks
      • Post-operative appointments
      • Preventative healthcare consultations

      • Educate clients on nutrition, parasite control, vaccinations and general wellbeing
      • Maintain excellent hygiene and infection control standards

        Working Pattern

        • Full-time or part-time considered
        • Shared weekend rota
        • Weekend overtime paid in addition to salary
