The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a highly respected and progressive small animal practice near Newmarket.
This role offers the chance to work within a supportive and experienced clinical team where RVNs are encouraged to play an active role in patient care planning, case management and preventative healthcare. Full-time and part-time applications are welcomed, making this an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking flexibility.
You’ll enjoy a varied role encompassing consultations, theatre, inpatient care and nurse-led clinics, with access to advanced facilities and strong support for professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of nursing care across all areas of the practice
- Assist veterinary surgeons during consultations, diagnostics and surgery
- Prepare patients for procedures and monitor anaesthesia
- Provide post-operative and inpatient nursing care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records
- Run nurse-led clinics including:
- Weight management
- Wound checks
- Post-operative appointments
- Preventative healthcare consultations
- Educate clients on nutrition, parasite control, vaccinations and general wellbeing
- Maintain excellent hygiene and infection control standards
Working Pattern
- Full-time or part-time considered
- Shared weekend rota
- Weekend overtime paid in addition to salary
