Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

The children at Halfway Junior School are seeking a new teacher from September 2026.They want a person who is eager for adventure and knows how to make learning engaging, challenging and most importantly fun! This post is a temporary position for one year to cover a maternity leave. The role will involve the successful candidate working across two classes alongside other part-time teachers, which will include classroom duties alongside contributing to the wider culture of the school.

We are looking to appoint a committed and professional teacher to provide creative ways of developing learning. You will be responsible for working closely with colleagues to deliver high standards of teaching and learning for all pupils, through carefully constructed task designs and challenges in lessons. The successful candidate must be a good team player, who is able to work closely with a colleague to ensure their class makes excellent progress during the year.
