What skills and experience we're looking for
The children at Halfway Nursery Infant School are seeking a new part-time class teacher from September 2026. This post is a temporary position for one year budget dependent and the successful candidate will be expected to job-share a class with another teacher, ensuring they contribute fairly to the classroom duties alongside playing their part in the wider culture of the school. The role will be in either KS1 or EYFS (this includes nursery).
We are looking to appoint a committed and professional teacher who will be responsible for delivering high standards of teaching and learning for all pupils, through carefully constructed task designs and challenges in lessons. We have high expectations for all our children and are committed to ensuring they are not only ready for the next step in their education as they move to our federated Junior school, but also able to positively contribute to their communities. The successful candidate must be a good team player. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working within the EYFS and KS1 curriculums.
Visits to the school are encouraged and warmly welcomed.
Dates for visits are:
• Monday 18th May at 4pm
• Wednesday 20th May at 4pm
• Monday 1st June at 4pm
• Thursday 4th June at 4pm
