Summary
We have a vacancy for an additional Breakfast Club Assistant to join the team from September 2026
The successful candidate will hold the necessary level 3 childcare qualifications and will have experience of working with children, providing a welcoming start to the school day, serving breakfast and supervising children in games and activities.
The successful candidate will join our friendly staff team, working with children across the primary age range and Nursery to ensure that the children at St. Catherine’s After School Club are safe, happy and engaged.
Job Requirements
• Helping to set up the hall ready for breakfast club
• Preparing and serving breakfast (Food hygiene training will be provided if necessary)
• supervising pupils while they are eating
• organising craft activities
• organising games
• managing pupil behaviour in line with school policies
• helping to resolve disputes between children
• dealing with first aid incidents (Training will be provided if you are not a qualified First Aider)
• communicating with other staff, parents and carers
• keeping up to date with safeguarding training and school safeguarding policies
Hours
Hours of work will be from 7.30 am to 8.30 am, Monday to Friday. This is a total of 5 hours per week, term time only.
This role will be paid on salary grade J3 (£24, 791, pay award pending)
