Summary

Role: Band 6 Senior Nurse Contract: Full-time Permanent Shifts: Primarily long days, but will require flexibility to cover nights and weekends when needed. Location: University Hospitals Plymouth Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale - Band 6 (aligned with AFC) £39,959 - £48,117 + enhancements and a full range of Marie Curie benefits. As an End-of-Life Care Senior Nurse (Band 6), youll play a key role in shaping a positive, supportive working environment and leading a dedicated team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants. Working closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager, youll oversee patient-centred care, manage a defined caseload, and champion a proactive approach to identifying and supporting those nearing the end of life, ensuring timely transfers to their preferred place of care. Qualifications Registered Nurse on NMC Register Experience working in palliative care and end of life care (hospice/hospital/community) Experience managing and coaching staff Up to date knowledge of current palliative care issues Understanding and support of the benefits of clinical supervision and reflective practice Ability to manage time, self and own workload and prioritise affectively Genuine commitment to providing high quality care Someone who understands benefits of working with a patient-centred philosophy of multi-disciplinary team working.
