Female Support Worker required to support 44yr old woman in Neville’s Cross, Durham area.
Hours of work will be 18 hours per week - times will vary £13.50 per hour
Monday: 9.30am to 12.30pm
Tuesday: 9.30am to 12.00pm
Wednesday: 9.30am to 3.30pm
Thursday: 10.00am to 2.30pm
Friday: 9.30am to 11.30am
There could be some flexibility within these hours by mutual agreement
The woman has epilepsy and moderate learning difficulties and would need support with self-care, driving to and supporting her at group activities and social activities such as shopping.
The role of the Support Assistant would be to manage her epilepsy if required, assist with her dietary requirements and support her well-being.
It would be preferable if the Support Assistant has experience of supporting people with epilepsy and moderate learning difficulties but not essential, as training can be provided.
The priorities for the Support Assistant would be to be capable, practical, caring and flexible, with an outgoing personality. Punctuality and reliability would be essential.
Access to a car would be essential with the appropriate insurance, a mileage allowance will be provided.
A DBS will be required but this will be paid for by the employer.
