Summary
School Caretaker – Wickford – Immediate Start
TeacherActive are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking School Caretaker to join a welcoming school in Wickford for an immediate start.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced caretaker, site assistant, or maintenance professional who enjoys working in a school environment and takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and secure site.
Working Hours:Split Shift Pattern
•
6:30am – 10:30am
•
2:30pm – 6:00pm
•
5:30pm finish on Fridays
The Role:
•
Opening and locking the school premises daily
•
Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs
•
Ensuring the school grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained
•
Completing health & safety checks and maintaining site compliance
•
Supporting with deliveries and setting up rooms for school events
•
Liaising with contractors when required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
•
Previous caretaker, maintenance, or facilities experience
•
A proactive and hands-on approach
•
Good knowledge of health & safety procedures
•
The ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
•
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
