Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on 7.5 tonne driver (C1) to join our growing team within a busy wooden crate manufacturing and export packing business.
This is a varied, physical role combining driving with warehouse support. You will not only deliver goods but also play a key role in ensuring loads are safely prepared and secured to meet export and road safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle (C1) for local and UK-wide deliveries
Load and unload goods safely and efficiently
Secure loads using straps and restraints to ensure safe transport
Check deliveries against paperwork and instructions
Assist warehouse operations when required
Carry out daily vehicle checks
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance
Requirements
✔ Valid C1 (7.5 tonne) driving licence
✔ Driver CPC qualification (essential)
✔ Proven experience with load securing/strapping
✔ Knowledge of road safety regulations and tachograph use
✔ Physically fit and capable of manual handling
✔ Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔ Previous delivery/logistics experience (preferred)
✔ Forklift license, preferred but not essential
