Summary
Trusts and Grants Fundraising Develop, write and submit high-quality, persuasive and tailored funding applications to charitable trusts and foundations, aligned to the charitys strategic priorities and service needs. Lead on the identification and cultivation of new funding opportunities through robust prospect research, using databases, sector insight and donor analysis to build a strong and sustainable pipeline. Manage a portfolio of trust and foundation relationships, delivering excellent account management to maximise income, retention and long-term support. Produce timely, accurate and impactful reports to funders, demonstrating outcomes, impact and value, ensuring compliance with monitoring and evaluation requirements. Design and deliver a structured stewardship programme for trust supporters, including impact reporting, engagement opportunities, site visits and events to deepen relationships and encourage repeat funding. Corporate Partnerships and CSR Development Proactively identify, develop and secure corporate partnerships, with a focus on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) opportunities arising from new and emerging business investment across the region. Build and manage relationships with corporate stakeholders, creating mutually beneficial partnerships that deliver both financial value and strategic alignment. Support the development of compelling corporate propositions, including Charity of the Year partnerships, sponsorship opportunities and employee engagement programmes. Work collaboratively across the organisation to align corporate opportunities with service priorities, capital appeals and community impact initiatives. Income Generation and Appeals Contribute to the development and delivery of major fundraising appeals and projects, ensuring strong cases for support and effective funding strategies are in place. Support the achievement of agreed income targets through a balanced portfolio of trusts, grants and corporate funding streams. Provide project management support for key fundraising initiatives, ensuring delivery to time, quality and income expectations. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration Work closely with clinical teams, service leads and colleagues across the Trust to identify funding needs and translate these into compelling funding propositions. Maintain a strong understanding of organisational priorities, healthcare developments and emerging funding opportunities to effectively match projects with appropriate funders. Represent the charity at external events, networking opportunities and meetings to build relationships, raise awareness and secure funding. Data Management and Reporting Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all fundraising activity using the charity CRM system, ensuring compliance with data protection and audit requirements. Monitor and report on income, pipeline activity and performance against targets, providing regular updates to the Trusts and Grants Manager. Ensure all grant income and expenditure is recorded and managed in line with funder requirements and financial governance processes. General Stay informed of trends, opportunities and best practice within the trusts, foundations and corporate fundraising landscape. Contribute to the wider work of the Fundraising and Engagement Team, including supporting events, campaigns and cross-team initiatives where required. Uphold the values and reputation of the charity through professional and ethical fundraising practice.
