We are looking for an experienced and passionate Youth Worker to support disadvantaged young people across Aylesbury, helping to reduce youth crime, anti-social behaviour, and exploitation through positive engagement and mentoring.
This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with young people who may be at risk of offending, exclusion, gang involvement, or social disadvantage. You will play a key role in building trust, delivering interventions, and supporting young people to make safer and more positive life choices.
Key Responsibilities- Build strong and professional relationships with vulnerable young people aged 11-18
- Deliver one-to-one mentoring and group intervention sessions
- Support crime reduction initiatives and diversionary activities
- Work with young people affected by county lines, violence, exclusion, or anti-social behaviour
- Carry out risk assessments, support plans, and safeguarding procedures
- Work closely with schools, police, social care, and local community organisations
- Maintain accurate case notes and reports
- Previous experience working as a Youth Worker or similar role
- Experience supporting disadvantaged or vulnerable young people
- Understanding of youth violence, exploitation, and crime prevention
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Full UK driving licence desirable
- Salary starting at £28,000 with progression to £32,000
