We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Level 2 Electrician to join Amey at HMYOI Wetherby, working on a secure, long-term Ministry of Justice contract.
This is a site-based role, offering stability, structure, and consistent work within a supportive facilities team. Weekend working is 1 in 3 on a rota, with a 15% allowance.
The role
You’ll be responsible for:
Planned and preventative electrical maintenance
Fault finding and minor electrical works
Like-for-like replacements, testing, and inspections in line with BS7671
Ensuring all work is completed safely and compliantly
Supporting Health & Safety standards and safe systems of work
What we’re looking for
Level 2 Electrical qualification (City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 or equivalent)
18th Edition (17th Edition considered with upskilling)
Experience in electrical maintenance
Good H&S awareness and ability to work independently
Basic IT skills
Experience with fire alarms or CCTV is desirable but not essential.
