Summary

Security Officer
Salary: €70,000 DOE + Sodexo Benefits
Location: Various / Site-based – Candidate must reside in the Republic of Ireland
Contract: Full time, Permanent

About the Role

Sodexo is seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Officer to join our team.You will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment, protecting people, property, and assets while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or security breaches
  • Monitor CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
  • Control access and egress for vehicles and pedestrians
  • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and calls for assistance
  • Maintain accurate records, incident logs, and reports
  • Liaise with emergency services and provide witness statements when required
  • Enforce site policies and procedures
  • Conduct searches where necessary and ensure site safety compliance
  • Support conflict management and de-escalation of incidents
  • Handle deliveries, post, and general enquiries
  • Carry out fire safety checks and report hazards or maintenance issues

About You

  • Valid SIA licence (essential)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to incidents
  • High level of attention to detail and professionalism
  • Customer-focused approach with the ability to build relationships
  • Physically fit and capable of patrols and manual handling tasks
  • Flexible and reliable with a proactive attitude

Desirable

  • First Aid qualification
  • Experience in a similar security role
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures
