Summary
Rate of pay: £13.45p/h = 11 hours per alternate week. Plus, additional hours when required.
I am a female wheelchair user with a sense of humour who is looking for a reliable, flexible, kind, chatty and honest person.
Essential support:
• Personal care, including organisation of weekly medication.
• Use of commode/shower chair and ceiling track hoist.
• Domestic tasks, including meal preparation.
• Driving to social and medical appointments.
• Empathy and understanding of personal needs and autonomy.
• To work closely with the employer and her other P.A. to create a happy care team.
No previous caring experience is necessary but willingness to learn and to provide high quality care is essential. I need someone who can drive a manual wheelchair access car confidently, both locally and further away (e.g., Queen Elizabeth Glasgow).
PVG check required.
Work pattern:
Alternate weeks (one week on/one week off).
Total of 10 hrs worked over Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday and 1 hour ironing.
Plus, flexibility required around other days for social and medical appointments (e.g., QEUH Hospital, Glasgow). These will be discussed and pre-agreed.
Additional hours will be required for occasional weekend, weekday / tea calls / evening calls due to family respite, holidays, and work commitments. The extra shifts will be equally shared between you and another P.A.
Additional cover also required for sickness and annual leave of other P.A.
