Summary
SEN Teacher - Newcastle (NE1)
Start Date: After May Half Term (w/c 1st June)
Salary: £130-£170 per day
We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join a supportive school in Newcastle (NE1) from after May half term. The successful candidate will have experience working with pupils with special educational needs and be confident delivering engaging, tailored lessons.
A specialism in Maths, English, or Science is desirable but not essential.
The ideal candidate will have strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills, knowledge of EHCPs and safeguarding practices, and experience working alongside teaching assistants and external agencies. QTS/QTLS or a relevant teaching qualification is required.
Requirements:
• Experience teaching pupils with SEN
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
• Strong commitment to making a positive change in the lives of young people
• Passionate about supporting pupils to reach their full potential
