Location: Abbeyfield School, Northampton

Salary: Grade G (NJC 8 to 13) £26,824 to £29,064 FTE (Full time equivalent)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full Time, 52 weeks

About You:

As a Finance Assistant at Creative Education Trust, you'll be an essential part of our Accounts Payable and Receivables team, collaborating with the Trust’s Finance team to deliver high-quality financial services and support continuous improvement. Our ideal candidate would:

• Be organised, efficient, and capable of multitasking under pressure
• Demonstrate a strong team spirit, be resilient, motivated and committed to improving standards.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
• Hold GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) qualifications in English and Maths.
• Have experience working in a finance team, with strong purchase ledger skills and an understanding of school finance requirements.

About the Finance Department:

The finance department’s priorities are to ensure best use of resources for all children across the Trust, and to continuously develop our financial service to ensure it is both highly effective and efficient. The Finance Team provides regular reporting for Principals and Headteachers, Executive Directors, budget holders and the Board of Creative Education Trust, as well as external reporting to the DfE.

The Finance team is made up of The Director of Finance, Financial Controller, Head of Finance Business Partnering, Senior Finance Business Partners, Procurement & Systems Manager, Finance Manager, Accounts Payable & Receivable Manager, Accounts Payable & Receivable Team Leader, Finance Officers and Finance Assistants.
