Job Summary –
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team and provide high-quality care and assistance to our adult male client. This role involves supporting our client with daily living activities and accessing the community, promoting independence, and ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
This role is based in the client’s family home therefore it is important that you are sensitive to the needs and boundaries of the family and are able to support his parent when it comes to maintaining their structure and values.

Responsibilities
• Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support clients with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
• Assist with medication administration and attending health appointments as required.
• Encourage and support clients to engage in community, social, and recreational activities.
• Promote independence and support clients in developing life skills.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
• Follow individual care plans and report any changes or concerns to supervisors.
• Uphold dignity, respect, and confidentiality at all times.
Person Specification
Essential
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic IT skills for recording and reporting.
• Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding practices.
• Right to work in the UK (unfortunately we do not offer sponsorship).
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive client’s vehicle when out in the community.
Desirable
• Previous experience in a care or support role.
• Level 2 or above qualification in Health and Social Care (or working towards it).
• First Aid and Manual Handling training.
• Knowledge of person-centred care approaches.
• Understanding of specific needs (e.g., mental health, learning disabilities, autism).
