Summary
A well-established and expanding catering business based in West Bromwich, is currently seeking an experienced Gujarati Cuisine Chef to join their kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef with a passion for authentic Gujarati cooking to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced catering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a wide range of traditional Gujarati dishes to a high standard
Specialise in vegetarian cuisine, including dishes such as dhokla, thepla, undhiyu, shaak, dal, and farsan
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
Assist with menu planning and development of new Gujarati recipes
Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations
Manage stock levels and maintain kitchen organisation
Work efficiently during busy catering operations and events
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience as a Gujarati Chef or similar role
Strong knowledge of Gujarati spices, ingredients, and traditional cooking methods
Ability to prepare a variety of regional and seasonal Gujarati dishes
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good teamwork and communication skills
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Desirable Skills:
Experience in a catering or high-volume kitchen
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
