We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a supportive and welcoming school in Littleborough. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual at the beginning of their teaching career who is keen to develop their skills, gain valuable classroom experience, and contribute fully to school life.
You will be teaching a diverse cohort of pupils with a range of abilities and needs. While you will benefit from the support of an experienced team, a proactive approach and willingness to take initiative will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons aligned with the curriculum

- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and positively
- Work collaboratively with teaching colleagues and support staff
- Contribute to the wider school community and school activities
Requirements

- Previous experience working with children ( placements, support roles, or similar)
- A positive, proactive approach with a strong work ethic
- Willingness to take initiative and embrace new challenges
- Strong organisational and communication skills
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an individual who brings energy, enthusiasm, and a hands-on approach to the classroom. This role is well suited to an ECT who is adaptable, committed to continuous development, and eager to make a meaningful contribution from day one.
What We Offer
- A supportive and collaborative working environment
- Access to extensive professional development, including a wide range of accredited CPD courses
- Opportunities to complete additional training, such as Team Teach
- Flexible working arrangements where possible
- The opportunity to make a genuine difference in pupils' educational journeys
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS (child and adult workforce), satisfactory references, and full compliance with KCSIE (2024) guidance and safer recruitment standards. Overseas police checks may be required where applicable.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We act as an employment business in relation to this vacancy.
