Summary
Join Dunnock View as the Estates & Facilities Manager to lead the daytoday management of Estates and Facilities services. This is a key operational role, responsible for ensuring a safe, compliant and wellmaintained environment that supports highquality care for patients and an excellent workplace for colleagues. Reporting directly to the Hospital Director, you will oversee all nonclinical site services, including Catering, Maintenance and Housekeeping, and manage a direct labour force to deliver efficient, reliable services. Using your specialist knowledge across estates and facilities disciplines, you will ensure services continuously improve and fully comply with all relevant legislation, policies and standards. You will provide professional advice to clinical teams and colleagues on estates and facilities matters, ensuring environments remain safe, comfortable and fully functional. You will manage planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring inspection, testing and maintenance schedules are completed on time, within budget, and in line with warranty and insurance requirements. Accurate recordkeeping, compliance documentation and standard operating procedures will be central to your role. The position also includes responsibility for procurement and contractor management, leading on contract specifications, renewals and supplier performance in line with Elysium’s financial policies. You will secure and manage all required licences, warranties and insurance, and ensure delegated areas of responsibility operate effectively and lawfully. This role is a full time role. 37.5 hours a week. Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. To be successful in this role, you will have: Must have leadership skills and ability to motivate and control a large multi-skilled workforce. Good communication skills for dealing with patients and public. Flexibility in work carried out and hours of work. High level of literacy and numeracy skills. In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety, COSHH and Risk Assessment is required. A practical and in-depth appreciation of Hazard Analysis/Risk Assessments is essential. Ability to recognise user need and develop services around needs. Be proactive in dealing with areas of responsibility. Experience in providing training to diverse user groups. Ability to manage a large and diverse workload to meet explicit standards and deadlines, establishing priorities and delegating to other staff as appropriate. Experience in managing staff and non-staff budgets to achieve optimal cost effectiveness and efficiencies. Advanced keyboard and IT skills including the use of a range of technology. The nature of the job will require the post holder to be generally physically fit. A trauma-informed care model is used to focus on length of stay to make sure individuals are able to move as quickly and safely as possible from the service to the most appropriate and least restrictive environment for them. Service users could be suffering from Acute mental illness, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Personality Disorder, Dual diagnosis, Self-harm, Substance misuse issues.
