Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Refuse / Recycling Loaders to join a dedicated Public Sector team based in Willand, near Tiverton. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity offering long-term stability and strong benefits once taken on permanently, including a good pension scheme.

Key Duties
  • Work as part of a team to collect recycling from residential properties.
  • Safely and efficiently load waste and recycling materials onto vehicles.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous approach when dealing with the public.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties.
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-focused attitude.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Previous experience in waste collection or outdoor work is an advantage but not essential, as full training is provided.
What's on Offer
  • £12.85 per hour basic pay.
  • Overtime at £19.28 per hour after 37 hours.
  • Monday to Friday working pattern (6am-finish, typically 1pm-4pm).
  • Temporary to permanent opportunity with excellent public sector benefits.
