Summary

What you will bring to the role The job holder will be a key member of the Lung Cancer Screening Programme administration team and the wider multi-disciplinary LCSP team within the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust. Current service comprises the community mobile lung cancer screening unit which is located in different sites around Leeds and operates a 6 day service (Monday to Saturday). The jobholder will work within the Leeds LCSP team, in the office at Leeds General Infirmary and on the mobile Lung Cancer Screening unit as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering the city-wide Lung Cancer Screening Programme You will be responsible for providing clerical and administrative support for the screening programme. You will be a direct point of contact for patients, arranging appointments, providing the wider team with administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of the service and will support the collection and reporting of data. Essential Criteria: Good standard of education to minimum of GCSE Computer skills e.g. using Microsoft and local NHS Trust software Commitment to undergo training and complete competencies required for the post Experience of working in an office environment Ability to work as a team player Knowledge and understanding of customer relations Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to accept delegation and work without direct supervision Reliable and Trustworthy, Compassionate and Caring, Adaptable and Flexible Ability to travel to various mobile unit locations in Leeds Ability to work 12 hour shifts, including Saturdays. Able to fulfil Occupational Health requirements for the post. Desirable Criteria: Knowledge of the NHS Experience in a health or social care setting European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) Experience working with patients in an administrative environment An understanding of NHS/Trust protocols/policies and procedures Please see the attached job description for further information about this vacancy.
