Summary
This will be considered for secondment to internal applicants with approval from current line manager.

You will be working within the Economic Development and Programmes Team whose remit includes responsibility for the effective delivery of key economic and sustainability programmes; Economic Growth, Healthy Communities, Climate Change & Sustainability and Social & Economic Inclusion. Key areas of focus for the team includes business support, delivery of key regeneration schemes, town centre development, promotion of visitor economy, health, sustainability and climate change, policy and strategy development and programme management of external funding.
The Council has been awarded £20m over 10 years from Government to invest in the communities of Grassmoor, Holmewood, North Wingfield and Tupton areas, which is known as Three Pits Pride in Place. The Pride in Place Programme Manager will lead the successful implementation and delivery of the programme including the production of the Neighbourhood Plan, ongoing support to the Neighbourhood Board and associated workstream groups and overall responsibility for programme and project delivery. This is a fixed term contract with the possibility for further extension. This is subject to funding and confirmation of the accountable body in 2029 as responsibility for the programme may be transferred into community ownership by way of a Community Interest Company or similar status.
To be successful you will need:
- Experience of managing similar programmes including project delivery and financial management
- Experience of multi-agency, partnership and community working including with Elected Members
- Experience of developing and implementing effective programme administrative systems.
The post is office based at District Council Offices, Mill Lane, Wingerworth with potential for hybrid working subject to operational requirements. The job will require a full driving licence and access to a vehicle as attendance at partner meetings across the region may be required.
