Supply Chain Coordinator (Fresh Produce)
Location: Kent
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary: Competitive (negotiable depending on experience)
Start Date: Flexible
Pay: £30,000 -£40,000 per year
A fast-growing fresh produce business is looking for a capable and detail-driven Supply Chain Coordinator to join its expanding team. This role sits within the procurement/supply chain function and reports directly to the Procurement Manager. It would suit someone with a solid food industry background—fresh produce experience is highly advantageous and will be reflected in the overall package.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in keeping the supply chain running efficiently, working closely with commercial, logistics, and planning teams while managing data, suppliers, and stock flow.
Key Responsibilities
Support Commercial Managers to ensure a smooth and efficient supply chain
Raise and manage purchase orders using ERP systems
Build and maintain supplier load plans to optimise service levels
Communicate with growers regarding volumes, delivery schedules, and product specs
Work closely with logistics and planning teams to maintain accurate stock levels
Manage arrivals data and support seasonal reviews
Produce weekly pricing and costing reports
Handle invoice processing, grower settlements, and returns
Drive process improvements alongside Commercial and IT teams
Participate in a weekend rota supporting wider operational teams
What We’re Looking For
Experience within the food industry is essential (fresh produce highly desirable)
Strong data management skills and confidence handling multiple data formats
Advanced Excel skills—you should be comfortable working with large datasets and building reports
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Confident communicator, able to work with suppliers and internal teams
Proactive mindset with a willingness to improve processes
