Summary
The role
A vacancy has become available for a material sampler & weighbridge operator to join the waste disposal team at the waste transfer station and be part of our journey on the road to greatness.
We are looking for someone who can be an essential part of the team to carry out sampling of recycling materials and operating the weighbridge, which are legal requirements of our Environmental Permit.
You
Will be an integral part of ‘Team ‘SWISCo’ by ensuring we remain compliant by carrying out samples of recycling and collating data. You will also be operating the weighbridge and ensuring weights, vehicles and waste types are captured correctly within the required software.
The team you work within will be responsible for undertaking daily samples of recycling and recording this data as well as supporting the operation of the weighbridge.
Key Duties:
• Ensuring the material sampling is undertaken in accordance with legislation
• Preparing Environment Agency Quarterly Returns
• Weighing internal and external vehicles as part of weighbridge operations
• Ensuring compliance documentation is completed correctly

Experience
• Able to demonstrate and in-still trust to staff members at all levels, clients/customers, and the general public.
• Previous experience of operating a weighbridge and related software system.
Qualifications
• Hold relevant weighbridge competency certificate
